Faraz planned a weekend getaway of hiking at Lake Placid. When we settled for a break at the top of the mountain, he popped the question (and a very old bottle of ice wine!).

Navigating our massive rental vehicle across a very small makeshift bridge suspended above rapids in Costa Rica. There was a little fear and a lot of adrenaline but it was also one of the first times we got to work together as a couple to problem solve and get out of a tricky situation!

Faraz has an almost superhuman power of using every dish, utensil, tool (you name it!) and then promptly walking away from the chaos.

Cailin has perfected the art of being “fashionably late,” even when given lots of notice prior to departure.

Caitlin but Faraz will always ensure there are snacks and a place to park the car.

Getting a fresh Christmas tree and making a big deal out of decorating it together, complete with Christmas music and cookies.

Caitlin is more competitive but Faraz usually wins.

Caitlin is a master at free-styling a delicious meal from odd bits and ends in the pantry/fridge, but Faraz has meticulous attention to detail and is better at following a recipe.

Caitlin would rather build a Jenga tower of recycling than take it out.

Faraz puts clean laundry away at a rate of one item per day.
